Senior Repair Technician

Principal Accountabilities

Diagnosis:  Checks and inspects all machines and equipment for faults, and arrives at the root cause of problem while allowing for accurate preparation of cost quotations.

Repairs:  Ensures necessary repairs are carried out as per standard specifications ensuring minimum down time.

Job Content:

• Checks and diagnoses the machine / equipment to determine the cause of malfunctioning in order to carry out necessary and appropriate repairs.
• Plans and carries out necessary repairs on site and in workshop, using standard tools and instruments and within the prescribed time frame to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Makes cost effective use of material and manpower hours in order to maintain productivity and efficiency standards.
• Ensure the workshop is kept clean, carry out work in safe manner by using suitable PPE required for the jobs, abide by company’s policies and maintain ethical behaviour at all times.

Qualification:

Diploma in Auto or Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Certificate.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience in construction equipments, Engine repair or Portable Air Compressors.

Competencies:

• Knowledge & skills in use /care of tools and equipment required to carry out diagnosis & repair
• Ability to communicate in English (oral or written), communication in Arabic is a plus.
• Team spirit, customer support & solution focus
• Take Initiatives, risk assessment &  manage things proactively
• Computer literacy is required
